Next Meeting
DATE TO BE ADDED HERE, Committee Room, Rowney Green Hall. All All & Sundry members welcome.
The aim of the meeting is to look at ideas for the coming year and start to get a plan in place. The meeting will include reading possible plays.
Latest prodcution:
Stupid Cupids held on 11th & 12th February 2011 at Stoke Prior Sports & Country Club. The sketches have all been written by members of the All & Sundry Writing Group.
The first production ofsmAll & Sundry was "Spirits", a comedy written by Tristan Harris, Editor of The Bromsgrove Standard. Directed by Mike Richardson, it was performed at The Ark, Alvechurch, on Friday 15th May 2009.
"Spirits" tells the tale of an entertainer who makes a living from duping the public with her spiritualist act -
The production was a huge success, with a capacity audience thoroughly enjoying the show.
The second production of
In line with the aims of
1. The chance for a play written by a group member to be performed in public
2. The chance for a new director to develop their confidence and skills
3. Although the cast included a number of experienced actors, several less experienced performers (including one newcomer to
the group) were given the opportunity to increase their confidence and develop their skills
4. Because of the low entry charge (which included a free drink!), members of the public enjoyed a night of theatre, getting great value for money!
Performed on two consecutive Saturday nights (20th & 27th Feb 2010) the production was a huge success, with a total audience number of well over 100. Everybody enjoyed the evening, and feedback has been great!
The third production of smAll & Sundry was "An Evening of Two Plays" in November 2010. Both plays were written by All & Sundry members:
The Orwell Society by Mike Richardson, directed by John Edwards-
Back at the Hotel by Roger Goddard, directed by Pat Hobday.
Despite bitterly cold weather reducing audience numbers a bit, both evenings were very enjoyable, with the plays demonstrating high standards of acting and direction.
